Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: You could walk to the Old Town via the Chiang Mai gate and a Grab taxi was not expensive if coming back later in the evening. It was a family area and generally quiet, although the roads were very busy during the day. The living area was large, so plenty of space to spread out if so inclined. Lots of shops and food outlets on the main road. The owners were very kind and gave me a lift to and from my travel points.
Negative: There were some insects in the kitchen and living area which was not surprising considering the house backs on to a large green area - nothing I couldn’t cope with. There was also some music noise at night and some fireworks but it was Loy Krathong, so that could be unusual.
Summary: Lovely family home for a relaxing stay.
